This week started out great. Our friends, Brandon and Claire, came to visit from Austin. We ate a lot, watched a ton of Boy Meets World, and took long naps. It was really nice. Ryan and Brandon made cookies, too…they were so so so good.
We spent a lot of time outside this week. The weather has been fantastic. It’s hard to believe it’s August when we wake up to 65 degree temperatures. One day this week we went on FOUR walks. I just couldn’t keep Rose inside all day when it was so beautiful out there.
We also took Rose to the park for the first time. The park close to our house is called Rose Park…how awesome is that?!?! It’s not the greatest park in the world, but it’s only a 5 minute walk from here and it’s got baby swings and some good slides, so I’m sure we’ll be spending quite a bit of time there in the next few years.
The little time that we did spend inside was spent dropping stuff onto the floor. She moves around the coffee table, and drops everything on the table to the floor one at a time. Then I pick it up and put it all back, and she does it again. The proud look on her face when she drops something is adorable. She also found her bookshelf this week, so naturally, all of her books are on the floor. I’ve put books back on the shelves at least 5 or 6 times every day, but it only takes a few minutes for her to realize they’ve been put up and then she takes them off again. It keeps her entertained, so I’m fine with it.
We also did a little cooking.
